Finishing Options
Grommets
It is a reinforced metal or plastic ring used in a banner. It prevents tearing around the holes and makes it easy to hang the banner securely. Grommets can also be used both indoors and outdoors.
Hemmings
Folding and stitching the edges of a banner is called hemming. It helps prevent tearing, and when used with grommets, it gives the banner a clean and professional look (almost all of our customers order these two options together). It also makes the banner stronger and more suitable for outdoor use.
Pole Pockets
They are sleeves on the edges of the banners that allow poles or rods to slide through, making installation quick and easy. Pole pockets provide a smooth look without visible fasteners, providing you with a wrinkle-free banner suitable for various occasions. They are perfect for street banners, storefront displays, etc.
Reinforcement Belts
A sturdy strip of material (usually polyester or nylon) is sewn along the edges of a banner. This belt provides extra strength and support to the banner. It is usually used for outdoor banners exposed to winds, large banners that need additional support to prevent tearing/sagging (due to the banner's weight), and banners used for extended periods or repeated events.
Wind Slits
They are small cuts in a banner that allows wind to pass through. They prevent damage by decreasing wind resistance and flapping. It also improves the robustness and lifespan of the banner by reducing the wind pressure on the banner. Wind slits are great for outdoor use, they help keep a banner’s stability and appearance in windy conditions.
Product Care
Pole banners are waterproof; therefore, if needed, you can clean them with water and mild soap. Do not use strong detergents. When not in use, store them in a dry place, away from sharp objects and roll your banner before storing or moving. If you fold vinyl banners, they might crease or crack.
